“Because Life’s Too Short to Be Boring” mural be Savannah Whitehead. Savannah wrote - "Because Life’s Too Short to Be Boring” is a reminder to embrace color, celebrate the little things, and add all the fun to life that you can. Located at The Gift Shop in Downtown Edmond, this mural brings together some of the things I love most: bold colors, playful cowboy boots, and bright patterns that make people smile. Jenn Klaus, creator and owner of The Gift Shop by Jennbroidery shared several of her favorite quotes to inspire the mural, and I loved this particular one! Working with Jenn's vision, we wanted the mural to feel joyful and welcoming while adding a little extra personality to her amazing and inspiring new store. More than anything, we hope it encourages people to stop, take a picture, and remember that life shouldn't ever be taken too seriously. Sometimes, the best things do come "wrapped up in bows" so add a little color, choose joy, and don't ever let life be boring. Purchased through Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC) with a private donor/public matching fund program called Art in Public Places in partnership with Jenn Klaus & The Gift Shop.
