“Blue Hippo” made of fiberglass and unofficially named Buddy, is a kitsch art piece that is a well-known Route 66 icon. Since its restoration in 1990, this humorous hippo has been seen all around town - at a wedding, sitting on Broadway, fishing in the lake at Oklahoma Christian University and atop several buildings. Until he was filled with concrete, he made his way around town.
