Call to Duty

Located at Edmond Safety Center
100 E 1st St, Edmond, OK, USA
“Call to Duty,” a bronze memorial by Brodin Studios, stands in tribute to fallen Edmond Police Officer Sgt. C.J. Nelson. Sergeant Nelson, who served the Edmond Police Department for 13 years, is the first officer in the city’s history to lose his life in the line of duty since Edmond’s founding in 1889. This memorial serves as a lasting reminder of the respect and gratitude owed to our law enforcement officers, who risk their lives each day for our safety. The piece was made possible through generous public donations and in partnership with the Edmond Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, the Fraternal Order of Police, and the Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC).
