"Crush" by Mark Yale Harris is a bronze couple locked in an embrace. The artist says "Crush Monument exemplifies the first glow of love. It is a supreme expression of total intimacy by two souls entwined in their own world. Yet, I also sought to sculpt the embodiment of the careful approach that is necessary to a new relationship. There is the need and longing to be connected, but there also be allowance for space for each person, space to grow as an individual and as a couple." Purchased through the Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC) with a private donor/public matching fund program called Art in Public Places. The donor was Honeyfield Development.
