Desert Wind
by Brad McNeill
Located at TBD
Desert Wind by local artist Brad McNeill, an abstract-impressionist painter.
Featured at the Edmond Fine Arts Gallery in February 2026, Desert Wind was acquired through the generosity of donation partners Dana and Randel Shadid, avid art collectors and longtime supporters of both the gallery and the artist.
In his artist statement, shared by North Gallery & Studios, McNeill reflects on his inspiration and appreciation for Oklahoma's artistic community:
“I believe the greatest painter is God, and there is no better painting than an Oklahoma sunset which no man can duplicate. There are many wonderful, Oklahoma artists, and I am humbled and blessed to be a part of the art community.”
The painting was acquired through the Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC) as part of the City of Edmond's Art in Public Places program, which pairs private donations with public matching funds to expand Edmond's public art collection.
