"Edmond Route 66 Centennial" mural by Chris Small not only celebrates the 100th anniversary of Route 66, but it is also a great selfie spot that features the Route 66 shield, an old ford pickup truck, the famous Round Barn, and more. The artist is well known for his murals along historic Route 66 throughout Oklahoma. The mural was acquired through a collaboration between the Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC) and Sherry Atwood, funded by the Art in Public Places program, which matches private donations with public funds. Originally approved November 2023 this mural is still a work in progress.
