“First Love,” by Missy Vandable, is a life-size sculpture portraying the love a young boy has for his dog. Seeing the dog’s adorable floppy ears and the little boy’s smile and warm embrace, this statue reminds us of the love we all have for our own animals. Our partners in the case share a deep love of dogs and cats alike. Purchased through the Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC) with a private donor/public matching fund program called Art in Public Places, the donor was a local non-profit animal rescue called Paws for Life.
