Great Fall
by Kimber Fiebiger
Located at Location TBD
Edmond, OK, USA
“Great Fall” is by Kimber Fiebiger, best recognized in Edmond for her fun and whimsical bronze sculptures but also as a classical and contemporary artist too. Her most famous works include her cleverly named Humpty Dumpty statues that she sells in sizes: Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large and Jumbo! Each has a funny play on words or pun in their name that relates to the special version of humpty dumpty she creates. In the comical piece “Great Fall,” Fiebiger depicts a Humpty Dumpty about to take his famous tumble. Let us not forget what he is famous for: “Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall…Humpty Dumpty had a Great Fall.” If you were in the middle of falling while being as fragile as an egg, you too would have the same look of horror! This small sculpture was purchased through the Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC) with a private donor/public matching fund program called Art in Public Places in partnership with Randel and Dana Shadid.
