“Railyard Mural” by Kristopher Kanaly is located on the west side of the Edmond Railyard. It was completed in June 2019 using spray-paint, which was done by hand, without guides. Kanaly specializes in creating ultra-flat renditions of landscapes and otherworldly themes; This mural in particular features iconic Oklahoma attractions including the Round Barn, Arcadia Lake, the Armory, and more. When looking at the mural, be sure to try to find all of the Oklahoma elements, as well as the train, on which one of the cars was tagged by one of Kanaly’s friends. Kristopher Kanaly is an artist and muralist from Oklahoma City. His artwork is frequently on exhibit with various regional galleries, as well as numerous outdoor murals and street art application across the U.S. and Canada. His mural was purchased through the Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC) with a private donor/public matching fund program called Art in Public Places in partnership with Block 1 Partners, LLC.
