"Scissortail Dance" a stainless-steel sculpture by Rob Lorenson captures the graceful mid-air movements of Oklahoma’s state bird, the scissor-tailed flycatcher. Commissioned for our collection through the Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC) in partnership with Beacon Homes LLC, the piece reflects Lorenson’s lifelong passion for sculpture. Born in Cedar Falls, Iowa, in 1969, he earned an MFA in Sculpture from Northern Illinois University and has work in over 300 public and private collections nationwide.
