The Legacy

by Tara Juozitis

The Legacy mural by local artist, Tara Juozitis, owner of LTMR (Less Thorns, More Roses) Designs is also known as Life in Color.   The mural tells a story of growth, family, and legacy across generations. The mural begins in a muted past, representing the history and foundation that shaped the journey. As the scene progresses, vibrant color emerges—symbolizing growth, transformation, and the life being built along the way. At the center, the owner is depicted as the painter, bringing color into the world around him and bridging the past with the future. That color carries forward to his son, representing the passing of his legacy to the next generation. Their family dog adds a personal connection to the story, while the fire hydrant serves as a meaningful tribute to a firefighter and partner who has played a critical role in building that legacy. Ultimately, the mural celebrates where the journey began, the people who helped shape it, and the legacy being carried forward into a brighter future. Purchased through Edmond Visual Arts Commission (EVAC) with a private donor/public matching fund program called Art in Public Places in partnership with Legacy Painting, Inc.
