“Truth Seeker,” by Gregory Reade, was purchased with one percent Construction Improvement Project (CIP) funding through the Edmond Visual Arts Commission. This bronze sculpture depicts a philosopher sitting in a state of wonder, with his fingers outstretched, pondering the question: What is the truth, and how do we know? It sits on the northeast corner of Boulevard and Campbell and was installed in 2010.
The artist, Gregory Reade, is a self-taught figurative sculptor. He consistently seeks new knowledge as a way of enhancing his art. On his website, a statement reads “Gregory Reade sculpts contemporary bronze figures that reveal the inner self as challenged by today’s modern life.”
